The way we breathe influences functioning of airways, blood circulation and oxygen release to the cells. Common conditions including asthma, rhinitis, hay fever, snoring, sleep apnea and anxiety can be significantly helped by applying the Buteyko Method.
Most people assume their breathing must be fine because they are still alive. However, dysfunctional breathing has a huge impact on your health. Signs your breathing might be less than ideal include; mouth breathing, frequent yawning, sighing, sniffing and snoring. Conditions associated with dysfunctional breathing include; asthma, sinusitis, sleep apnoea, snoring, reflux, constipation or diarrhoea and anxiety.
About the Buteyko course The course is like a breathing ‘boot camp’ with homework and daily practice to improve breathing patterns. The advantage of having me guide you through the course is like having a “Buddy” to make you accountable, and get the best results for you, together! If you decide that this course is for you, we will meet once a week for 1.5 hours over 4 weeks (A course via Skype is also available). You will receive a series of exercises as homework to help you improve each week. I look forward to working with you, to help you breathe right for life!

Group 4 week course – 2-3 persons 1 x 90min session, each week for four weeks
Private 4 week course – 1 x 90min session, each week for four weeks, or 1hr each week for five weeks….whatever suits your lifestyle

As you age, and your relationship matures, unfortunately your snoring increases. With that in mind, I had heard of Deborah Buckland as a practitioner of the Buteyko Breathing method and decided to give it a go. To my surprise after 2 working sessions over 2 weeks, my sinuses had substantially improved, as well as my overall sleeping, breathing and general wellbeing.
This has also proven beneficial for my long suffering wife. After retreating to another room, she is now back sleeping next to me.
Compliance with the programme has delivered results.
